I had the same experience on Wednesday. Do not hang up, you will be connected to an IO after a while.
I called (First time in last 4 months) to TSC using POJ method to check how they are trying to process cases. I know it was a futile attempt but wanted to try my luck regardless.
Guess what? When you can't get through right away (which is never) you get put on hold in queue. Instead of background music you would get with any other wait in queue system - the message kept repeating every second - "Your estimated wait time is between 10-15 minutes"...
It annoyed the heck out of me and I hung up rather than hearing the message over and over again.
Since I have not called in past few months, I do not know if this is how it always worked or is this a recent change. As far as I recall, they did have background music which made it a little bearable to wait 10 minutes.

i am not sure what it is about the 300d or known by most as the digital rebel that makes it not a good choice. i used and still use the digital rebel. i consider it to be worthy of professional status. it lacks a few capabilities but for studio work i still feel more comfortable with that camera and i must admit even though i have the rebel xt i have not used it near as much as the 300 d.

Graham is only opposed to the dems passing Healthcare reform through reconcilliation method, which is ramming through Senate with just 51 votes without regard to any republican inputs or support. It's only that the dems are not listening to repubs suggestions on a very important piece of legislation.
Are you sure democrats are not listening to republican suggestions? Healthcare debate has been going on for over 1 year. In my 8 years in US, never has been so much time given to debate any single issue. Most of the key provisions in the bill were Republican ideas including tax cuts, coverage for preexisting condition etc. Republicans are taking bribes from insurance companies for stalling the healthcare bill. If democrats did not want to include republicans then they could have passed healthcare bill last year when democrats had super majority in the Senate, before Scott Brown's election. All throughout last year democrats have been trying to get republicans on board. Republican party have stalled the entire government. Now with no other choice, after debating healthcare for more than 1 year, republicans want to restart the entire discussion. This is appalling.
Keeping all tradition, Healthcare bill passed with with filibuster proof majority in the Senate. House passed their own bill with majority. House is now trying to pass Senate bill. Then House and Senate will do reconciliation of the House bill and Senate bill in the conference committee. Every bill has to go through conference committee. So many large bills including Patriot act were passed with 50 Senate votes + 1 vote of Dick Cheney after the conference committee.

Forget all the middle vendor and lawsuit , nobody will do anything.. In CA if you not aware, there is no legally binding contract that can restrict and employee to work for any employer. Non compete agreements also do not work there, these are just fear tactics. I left my employer and joined the client , and did this 2 times and also that too not even in CA , in other states. Noone did nothing, because it cost time and money and unless there is a 100% chance for the other party to win , they will not get into the lawsuit and stuff as it cost a lot of time and money.
So forget him and also save the middle vendor's number on your phone so next time you can avoid his call.

I am working to a client in california in the above mentioned order. After 1 year we got rid of middle vendor and prime vendor is working with my employer directly . Now middle vendor is threatning me that he can sue me for breaking the line of contract .
i dont understand ho can even its possible as i never signed any document with middle vendor and he is not even my employer . He is just acting as middle layer by showing prime vendor that i am his employee which is wrong. now we removed him from line of contract and he is saying that he will sue all of us for doing this.
is there any way that he can even do this ?

My employment will be in the Arkansas State !! and My Family will be in GA for some time, I have a Part for the income this year 2009 in GA too!!
Just to add this year (2008) I have to file state taxes for South Carolina as well as GA!!

I have no idea about property taxes about VA. In urbana, the property tax is 0.00094 % of sale price. Urbana is about 36 miles from DC exactly. for a 300K house, the property tax is about 282$ PM.
How much is the property tax in VA? I was also thinking of fairfax county when I started my search but ended up in Urbana.

Thank you for your earlier help. I have one more question. My I485 with approved I140 EB2 catagory PD June 2006 is pending and God knows for how many days. My job as Mechanical Engineer is stable and employer is willing to help me. I have a PhD in Engineering with about 30 years experience in industry and teaching. However, because of industry work I do not have many publications. I am a Fellow of IEI and a recognised PhD guide in Indian University, can get good recommendations too. Can I try for EB1 in some catagory?

They tell this to everybody. A very common answer. They told me so, so to my 2 other friends but in either cases, no GC was approved inspite of our PDs were current. And later it turned out that my name check is pending (don't know what is 180 rule mean) when I took Infopass.
So don't believe those CS answering over the phone. They say name check is clear when it is not clear, they say I-485 processing date is 2006, April when processing date is 2007, April 28. Bunch of junkies or may be summer interns (all called I made around summer time).
To be CS in USCIS the only qualification you need is to be an US Citizen with back ground check cleared and a high school diploma :-(.
How a person can understand with the above qualification all those difficult stuff like PD, RD, AP, EAD, LC, 485, 140 !!!
And some CS even referring my I-485 application as I-40 :-( repeatedly.
They may have to answer so many other complicated cases in Family category as well. Like what happen when spouse gets divorced? Can one file dependent GC if he/she is gay? Some one got married one US citizen after crossing the broader illegally, can she/he get GC? Can a son/daughter from stepmother apply for GC? So don't blame them either.

Guys.Don't make the mistake that I made.
When you do medicals, get a copy for yourself as the doctor would seal the form and give you. Keep a copy for yourself.
I went in to get Physicals done and was charged 580$ for me and my wife.
they normally charge 200$ per person which is quite normal here in NJ/NY.
But they couldn't fine a record for me and had to order blood work and charged me160 for it. Also gave me 25$ flu shot.
On top of all they won't use my insurance for physicals.
SUCKS!!!!

Yes there is no one-line amendment. But the objective of an amendment can be one line. That is what I mean. I saw many amendments before and am familiar with the political jargon. You are thinking that I am a novice when it comes to Immigration. That is ok and that is not the issue here.
Recently in one fundraising thread, I counted the number of retrogressed PD members contribution to others. Its in the ratio 1:5. The reason for this thread started at that time.
If members know that IV has the right strategy and right connections then the support to IV will be overwhelming. That is all I want to convey in the thread.

I have no idea why USCIS gave that reason. Actually, my company's attorney told that "USCIS denied H1B, because i don't have Computers background and am working as a Programmer Analyst".
That's all i know at this moment. I don't know whom to trust at this point.
There should have been an evaluation of your degree by some "expert" here certifying that your degree is equivalent to a 4-year degree in CS here. I remember my first H1 petition had such an attachment.
Check with your lawyers quickly. Also, do whatever you can to protect your status. If you get some illegal status on your records now, it will be a nightmare when you apply for a GC. Then they will check all your entry/exit dates.

First of all after applying H1 extension you have a 240 day window when you wont be out of status even if your H1 expired ( as long as the extension is applied when the current was Valid). My H expired on Jan 29th and i applied on Jan 9th and the last 5 months i worked as usual without Visa or I-94 ( but in Status) ...
Don't worry at all - if by chance anyone reaches near 8 month/240 day finish line which is highly unlikely, pump in extra 1000 bucks and upgrade that to a Premium H and you must hear a decision within 15 days....
There are tons of options - even if Premium doesn't work still there are 2 more options ( of course within legal boundary )...
I applied for my H-1 extension in mid April and my current H-1 is valid till mid August. After reading about the waiting times in the posts above I am wondering what happens if I don't get the approval until mid August. Will I be out of status ?
