    You can do Info pass and ask for both. Alternatively, you can try calling USCIS when your priority date is current and ask for this information. If you are lucky, they will tell you whether or not there are any security checks are pending. People noted that there are no LUD when NC gets through.     Kudos to Senator Chuck Schumer for raising the profile of a serious issue - discrimination against same-sex partners in US immigration law.     Unfortunately, the only solution is to take your camera to a Nikon repair center. It seems that the D2H's meter failing is alarmingly common, from what reports one reads online. If your camera is yet under warranty, then you're in luck. Otherwise, it may be a US$200 - $300 repair. :(

    Your 9 month initial stay will not be counted as you stayed 1 year out of usa.

    So total L1 period is 13 months so far. and Total of l1+h1 is 6 years. so you can have 4 years + 9 months on H1 and your initial H1 will be for 3 years

    Follow-to-join can be applied anytime after the filing of I-485 even after approval as long as Visa Number is available at the time of filing. Visa number's availability depends on the Department of State's Visa Bulletin.

    For EB3 case, after receiving the approval for I 140, I know that we have to wait till DOL Proiority Date is current to be able to file for I485.

    If we decide to receive the green card in any consulars overseas, can we just go ahead and file the I485 after getting the I140 approval? (without waiting for PD to be current)

    Any advice would be appreciated?

    Another great design, but the text seems a bit off with the design. For the most part, in a stamp, the text should be the consistent, dull part. In my view, it doesn't look nice when italicized or stylized excessively.

    Gurus please let me know if there are job prospects for Healthcare Informatics given the economic conditions in USA.

    It appears there is a good allocation of 9.2billion dollars for Healthcare IT in the stimulus. Does it provide impetus for this field?

    Can an IT company sponsor H1 B for Healthcare Informatics or any of Medical IT fields and if so what would be the occupational code (DOL). What are possible job designation in this field in USA?

    I have

    EB3 140 approved for June 2004
    and
    EB2 140 approved for May 2006

    My lawyer said that they will file a petiton to apply my EB2 status to my EB3 dates as soon as dates for EB2 cross June 2004

    But now, In this August VB , My EB2 became current .
    What I did not anticipate was the huge 2 year+ jump in EB2 dates


    My 485 was filed in July 2007 and shows the status pending since then.

    I asked my lawyer which 140 did he use to apply my 485 and he says "Both"

    I am confused with a couple of things

    1. Is it possible to file 485 by sending in both 140s. I asked the lawyer and he said that NOW since the date has jumped more than 2 years it is not advisable to file petiton to move dates .:confused:

    2. If I call USCIS , will they be able to tell me which 140 was used to file my 485:confused:

    I dont think will give a true picture. There are a lot of people who dont care about tracking once they apply.

    who are these 60k cases? i cant see it on or anywhere. these will some reflection of this..correct?

    hello all,

    I wanted a clarification regarding address change:

    My company changed address recently from address City A to address City B (same county, same metropolitan area). Do you know if I need to do any LCA Amendment?
    I had consulted a lawyer regarding this, he said we don't need to do any LCA Amendment since it is the same metropolitan area.
    Also I am not getting any clear answers from any other websites.

    Wanted to cross check with you all. If anybody know please help.
