Did anyone travel to India, by landing at Delhi Intl airport, and then proceeding to other destination city through a domestic airline?
Never been to Delhi, and I have no idea how Intl and domestic travel works in tandem...

Once while coming back from from Mumbai via Delhi, we did not have to change the flights, sat in the same flight to London.
And on other occasion where the connecting flight was Sahara to a Local Indian airport, we had to take our luggage and go to the Delhi domestic airport.
While in both cases, the Airline would arrange for the transport, Delhi has an inside route for passenger transfers(other vehicles are not allowed), while in bombay the bus goes thru the city, where the traffic is always severe.
In both the airports, if you are landing in the late morning (after 3-4am), you should follow up with the local airlines transport co-ordinator( bus driver ;)), to see what time is he gonna wake up and take you to the domestic airport.
Once when my inlaws were transferring from Bombay local to bombay international, they took a cab instead, as Jet airways did not have a bus ready to take the international passengers when they got out of the airport.

Well I seem to have run into more confusion...
I've updated the firmware to 2.0 and I'm not sure if its changed the menu in the D70 or not but I was looking up the "exposure bracketing" that you suggested and on page 88 of the manual it shows (in the top image) the "Menu" opened with the (i believe its the Details tab, it has the small pencil), and then it shows the "12 BKT Set" titled at the top... followed by the Flash & Exposure settings below it... My menu doesn't show any of these... infact alot of my menu looks different than the manual since the update, which if I'm not mistaken was one of the updates within the firmware. Only now I don't know where to find what the manual shows.

I believe if both parents are foreign nationals, and become indian nationals, their children are eligible for OCI, but children of Indian nationals by birth are not.
See, even the Indian Govt. discrimmintes against its own citizens. How can you blame the US government for treating us like horse manure.

and got her OCI stamp and cards. Couple days ago a friend of me got
rejected. He was told that "if both parents are indian citizen child is not
eligible for OCI"
After I heard it, I talked to Indian Consulate SFO, and they told that
this condition is included recently. So whoever got OCI are good. ( I hope so!)
OCI is definitley better since you dont have to do anything after you get that. OCI does not need to goto police station and report in india etc etc.

What I heard of is, OSC (office of the special counsel), Dept of justice will help in this kind of issues related to hiring or wrongful firing. Google for such dept and get help at free of cost.

I would suggest trying for EB2 if possible. Due to the recent change in the visa allocation from vertical to horizontal most of the countries in EB 3 will be affected and movement will be slow. I dont know the number of applicants from Russia but dont expect any additional visa due to spillover. We have an applicant from Russia in our company, he applied in Eb2 and received his GC in 2 and a half years. Most of the EB3s are still rotting waiting for 4-6yrs.

yes if I-140 is approved it makes a world of difference:
- keeps his GC process alive even if he changes employers since he is past the 180 day mark of 485 filing.
- he gets a 3 year H1 extension/transfer if his PD is not current.
thats the reason I advise him to hang on until the I-140 comes through; esp since he has a 2004 PD and its an utter waste of four-five years if that goes.
Even if employer is not treating you well, hang in there and smile; your turn to get even-steven will come soon enough.

the fact that there were so many EAD applicants through June/July - the workload will be very high on USCIS so everyone will file at the earliest ie proposed 120 days prior to expiry.

When I called USCIS the IO officer said there are no visa number and it makes no sense in opening any SR and I have been told to wait at least until Oct 2008. She was bit rude but it made sense for me to wait for at least few more months before calling.

As I see it, the 7% cap is nothing but a clear case of affirmative action on a global scale. Republicans would definitely support removing this cap if the debate was framed in this angle rather than to give relief to any particular country. Relief is to the business's in the US - the freedom for them to hire the best in the world not to forced in to affirmative action due to quotas in high skilled immigration.

I got an RFE on I-485 for the incomplete medicals. The RFE says that a 'specific' test results are missing and they need that test results to complete my application. I went to the same doctor and the lady there said, I did take that 'specific' test last year when I had medicals, but doctor forgot to mention that results in I-693. She said she is going to fill out a new I-693 form with all the results including the missing one (from old results) and will give me that sealed cover. Will this be enough? or do I need to take that 'specific' tests now and send the results?
I am planning to send the results tomorrow overnite.
Also, my Immigration Office number is 009 with TSC. Anybody got any approvals from this IO?

This is all India specific and specific to EB2. I did not add years2006 and 2007 as my PD is in 2005. But I did do it upto dec 2005.
1. You can expect the spill over from EB1 in big way
2. You can expect spillover from EB2 ROW in a big way
This should help clear backlog atleast upto 2004 cases. However the interfiling from EB3 to EB2 could stop the backlog from being reduced.

jaggu bhai .. I like your handle, reminds me of a senior from college days. Anyway, here are some of my inputs as my wife is also pursuing a masters program in MIS.
1) Part time - full time may or may not be a lot different depending upon university you pick up. One of my co-workers is pursuing an online masters program and his cost is almost same as a part/full time from a known university.
You may also qualify for resident tuition depending on state/univ. laws where you reside. Check on that, it may reduce your cost a lot.
2) Starting on H4 or F1 is on your choice or affordability. You may need to show 1yr of funds before a college issues an I-120 form for status change to F1 whereas on H4 you may just proceed at your own pace and no funds need to be proven. CPT/OPT or college internships cannot be taken up on H4 and so you may need to switch to F1 sometime based on your plans of using OPT.
These are my thoughts based on what you mentioned. Other opinion also matters .. may be some more members can comment based on known scenarios.

In the middle of the program, is it possible for me to move from H1 to F1 if I can prove that I will take a full course load ( 12 credits or whatever be the requirement)..The university does alow me to increase course work as per my desire..
Has any one gone thru this process or know for sure that it can be done...
