Bought a AEBS last month. I upgraded from a Linksys G router. My house is around 4-5 thousand sq. ft. Before with my linksys router it reached the master bedroom fine. (Router is located in the opposite corner of the house on the 1st floor). Now i barely get 1 bar or sometimes nothing. Anything i can do besides buying an airport express? I thought these N routers had more range; etc.

One of the tings I saw last year was that they are going to make their new cars feel more like what Americans are used to driving.
Go test drive a Camry/Malibu/Accord to find out what that feels like. :o

Battery life has been awful since the upgrade and seems to be getting worse. Daily charges and sometimes more frequent. This is after charging at the soonest 1.5 days since I got the iPhone 4.

I strongly suggest you copy off your work folder or files onto the desktop or wherever and work from them there, copying the new files back onto your Flash drive when you're done.

"Aliens vs Predator Requiem" was edited on Final Cut. But that movie was terrible. Maybe it was Final Cut�s fault. ;)
But in all seriousness: I think a new Final Cut version is clearly overdue. FCS3 was more like a feature-patch for FCS2 than a new version. These days not having any kind of native AVCHD support really slows you down (and uses up a lot of storage space) particularly considering the DSLR-hype since 2009!
I remember a friend of mine who had bought a Panasonic HMC 150 (which is a professional camera) before FCS3 was released and was expecting native AVCHD in the next release. He has been waiting for this feature for almost two years now, while all the other big editing systems have had it for a while, as far as I know!
I'm into the casual AVCHD use like most consumers, and while my opinion doesn't count the same as most of the heavy editors commenting, Steve Jobs does tend to have a liking for "the river coming to us" as the best use of resources.
In that regard, and with Intel popping Sandy Bridge on the CES stage in January, AVC will get some much needed silicon on chip for encode/decode; the only codec to get that treatment. I doubt that this is anything but conincidence, as OpenCL / Grand Central are much more necessary for FCP's overhaul, but it strikes me that any Sandy Bridge processor in any Mac will by definition ease the AVCHD issues in all of Apple's video applications. Since AVCHD is in the core, one can imagine imagine that future Xeon processors should be quite suitable for AVCHD editing (it's my understanding that the AVCHD standard supports division of the frame into 4 chunks for multithreading).
I hope that this thread is still alive when FCP arrives and that further, there are commenters with with hands on use of the Panasonic AG-AF100 and Sony NEX video cameras supporting AVCHD and dslr lenses.

If you're old enough to deal with the possible consequences of sex, you're old enough to find a place on your own. If you're not old enough to do that, be sure one of you is sterile before proceeding. I say this a week after my 17 year old cousin gave birth after both being on the pill and using a condom. It happens. If you can deal with that possibility, you're old enough to move out.

why even bother coming out with a white iphone for this year? Does anyone really care anymore?
Well, I think this is the best proof that we could get that there won't be a radically designed iPhone 5 this year, but an iPhone 4GS or something like that. It just doesn't seem logical that Apple would invest time and money in the production of a cellphone type that will be obsolete in less than 5 months.
Imagine the outrage when all these people buy white iPhones now, and three months later a new model is introduced (with a white option too).

Yes... there's an application availabe on the Notes website that allows you to change the font size. It's called Notes Preference Editor.
And yes, Notes is much more than just a handicapped email system. It's also a handicapped calendaring system, a handicapped database, a handicapped information distribution system, etc.
And PGP isn't that simple to set up on a per-user basis (unless something has changed drastically in the last 3 years since I last looked at PGP?), and if a corporation has 40,000 users on email, that's a ******** of PGP setups to make. Beyond that.. your work email isn't your property. ;)

The point is, there are a lot of reasons a company would want this information that does not involve selling your information to someone else.
I don't want THEM having the information. If I sever my relationship with a business (for example, by canceling a subscription) I don't WANT them to pester me to re-sign. I don't want phone calls, mailings, and email. If their computer burps and decides I haven't paid them properly, I don't WANT them pestering me or having debt collectors pester me.

Lets face it, Mail on iphone blows when compared to blackberry. There is no security like blackberry has on top of the entirely inadequate mail program.
You can't search well beyond the most recent emails. on a blackberry you can search thousands of recent emails and it just works.
What does this have to do with the price of tea in China? This has nothing to do with TJ Maxx buying ipads. OH, and if you do not like the mail app on the iphone, or ipad, don't buy it, or don't use it. For me it works

You are obviously missing the point. Apple's new subscription model is preventing choice from coming to it's customers. How is that not a bad thing?
Not at all. FT and the like can still do their own system but not folks can choose to use the in app option and use an established pay system instead of putting their info and credit card on yet another site. Plus you can skip credit cards all together by using iTunes gift cards, which you can buy pretty much everywhere these days

Ugh, I'm glad I gave up on Apple and got an HTC... I was waiting out for the white iPhone 4 and it just never came. 10 months after the launch and I don't think I want one at all now.
I'll get a white iPhone 5... if it doesn't come out on day 1 in white, I won't get one at all, I don't want to be left waiting again.

I wonder if the Shuffle will ever have more than 2 gigabytes. It's form factor seems to limit it, not because there'll never 2 gigabyte storage that small (there will), but because you can't select songs. I wonder how useful a 10 gig Shuffle would be. (Maybe it would be useful...
I bet the next revision of the shuffle will be 2GB - and will remain the same form factor (if this proves popular). There currently are FLASH chips in 2GB capacity that would fit right into the new shuffle. The catch is the price... Market value on smaller 2GB chips is about 5X the price of 1GB chips right now. In other words, Apple could release a 2GB version of the G2 Shuffle, it would just cost about another $100 and there probably isn't sufficeint production yield of 2GB chips yet. But in it's new/current form, the small size and ~240 song capacity for about $80 makes it a real winner.
