I do not have SHSH blobs saved. Am I screwed?
Is there a method of downgrading without saving SHSH blobs? I'm almost certain I did a downgrade on my AppleTV 2G without SHSHS blobs saved.... am I wrong?

I originally wanted the white model, but ended up getting the black model. Once it hits the shelves, I'll look at it in store to see how it looks in person, to see if I'll want a white iPhone 5....works out well!
Exactly...6 month ago I would have been all over it...now I don't want to get into a 2 year contract only to have the 5 launch in Sept...
I hate my HTC Hero, but I don't hate it THAT bad (and anyway, my wife uses it mostly).....(continues to convince himself to wait)....

:eek: you've got to be joking right now. it's not supposed to be cushy, it's supposed to be horrible, and it's supposed to last until the day they die if they don't get the death penalty. before we were talking about life in prison without parole versus the death penalty, and now you're saying that someone who is currently death penalty worthy in the states should be put in prison for 16 years and thats sufficient? I was thinking that there would be a big Garmin APpe hook up in terms of getting GPS onto the iPhone/Touch, but that might come still at Macworld I guess. Hoping for it, as the Forerunner 405 plus a nano with the gps data would be a great training and exercise product line up.

Hey, I was wondering if there's a free or cheap program that can make pictures black and white, but have certain things colored. I have graphic converter. But I don't know how to use it to do something like that. If you can do it with graphic converter, please tell me how. Thanks!

Get a $100 inkjet cd/dvd printer. I use the Epson R320 (has a few more bells and whistles). You can Google images and print just about any kind of image on your discs. They look GREAT!
Generic ink is about $15 for a complete set! Doesn't look the best for photos but works fine for labels.

I have a R200 and made a bulk-in to save some money on ink... but i'm not so much satisfied... original ink looks better anyway.
Generic ink is about $15 for a complete set! Doesn't look the best for photos but works fine for labels.

i didnt read all the comments, but this is my opinion right here, this white iphone 4 launch makes absolutely no sense unless apple is planning to let it run for at least another 6 to 8 months without announcing any new hardware.
i suppose the new iphone 5 will only come out a lot latter than speculated and probably the supposed better guts will be a iphone 4 s just with better insides.

As others have posted as well, it makes no sense for Apple to invest this much time and money to get the white iPhone 4 out unless the basic design is going to care over to the iPhone 5.
iPhone 5 looks like it will be iOS 5, A5 processor, probably more memory, maybe an NFC chip, all wrapped in the iPhone 4 shell, both in black and white. LTE 4G and a completely new design comes in iPhone 6.

I tend to agree. Cut programs until our expenses match our current 'revenues.' When the two are equal or are in the black, let's immediately pass an balanged-budget amendment so this problem never happens again. And, raise taxes so our spending is less than our revenues and we can start paying off the debts Reagan, Bush and Bush left our grandchildren. It's time to start acting like grown-ups.

Does anybody understand why Metal Gear Solid 4 was on the PS3, and then was on the Xbox 360? I feel ripped off. The Wii has a larger installed base. I feel so ripped off I'm refusing to give Konami any props. I'm just giving props to PC games. I'm not upset.

I've installed OpenOffice.org for OS X, and when I save files in MS-office formats (.xls, .doc, etc) they do not have any icon assigned to them. If I save in the native open-doc format, the icons appear. When I double-click the .xls files, they will open automatically with OpenOffice, but the icons are still blank.
How can I get these icons to be correct?

You'd be surprised how many people reluctantly put up with AT&T's abysmal service just so they can have an iPhone.
People like me, who really like the iPhone but consider AT&T unbearable, are using older generation unlocked iPhones on T-Mobile, which, despite any of its faults, is far superior to AT&T.
I'm looking forward to getting my Verizon iPhone. I'm saddened to be leaving T-Mobile (their customer service is excellent, and their pricing and optional services are top-notch), but Verizon offers better reception in my house.

Usually this is a problem with Spotlight searching non-indexed drives, i.e. NTFS or FAT32. Try excluding your Bootcamp partition from Spotlight.
